The Tarot leaning for this Litha Tarot BlogHop is…
Litha is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. At this time of year people have historically celebrated the abundance in nature and the power of the Sun by creating fire wheels, bonfires, and dancing circles. As the Summer Solstice is a time when the veil is thinner, it is also a time for the faeries to come out and play, to give and receive gifts, and to create mischief. Call ’em rockin’ shenanigans. The aim of this Tarot BlogHop is for us to share our own gifts in creative and / or playful ways. To share within a circle that heartbeats to pulse and expand and share in the larger epic spiral of giving and receiving. The way each blogger expresses this has been left open to be presented in whatever way each person wants. So, enjoy the vibrant variety across your BlogHop adventure! In that vein I decided to play to one of the hearts of the matter heartbeat-pulsing in the Sun card from my perspective. Hop on in!
Your BlogHop Mystereum Tarot Moment for Litha and the Summer Solstice
Hey there,
Jordan Hoggard here with your Mystereum Tarot Moment for the Sun card, card XIX of Tarot’s Major Arcana.
who you were when you were born, Self, return, identity, bright success in context
You can look at the ” X’s ” in The Sun’s XIX as…
You can look at the ” X’s ” on either side of the ” I ” in XIX as magical twilight crossing bridges connecting night to day, day to night. Each ” X ” twilight crossing bridge of dusk and dawn embraces the ” I ” of You, Thou if you wanna… Twilight dawn connects night to day across its magical twilight crossing X-Bridge. Twilight dusk connects day to night across its magical twilight crossing X-Bridge. I call twilight Nature’s Psychic Synapse. At each magical twilight X-Bridge Nature takes an energetic Fool’s leap across the synapse from night to day, from day to night… much like a neuron fires across the space between to the next neuron to cadence-pulse the heartbeat of brain activity.
though… I’m not going to go all neurological on you. That just might be neurotic, and maybe just annoying. So, let’s hop more directly with Tarot and XIX The Sun card as to the talent developed into an ability that I would like to express here. It’s my ability to express Tarot voice and story from a perspective beautifully and wonderfully peculiarly my own. Hop in! The Sun has many, many stories, so let’s BlogHop focus across one of the Sun card’s Psychic Synapses to get to A heart of the matter in one of the Sun card’s fractally faceted stories.
The Sun card…
The Sun card is possibly who you were when you were born… and maybe forgot?
The Sun card is about how you shine, about the brightness of your identity.
The Sun card is about how you come together and dance with your shadow like a wise Sophia Principle in just your way.
The Sun card is the wisdom of the ages naturally present in clear emotions whether you have become wise or not.
They Say Life Is Short…
The Sun card also brings in perspective by contrasting day and night, night and day.
Life is short. So, rather than think about its length, expand off the tight rope!
Expand your Inner Inheritances, those naturally bright talents you were born with.
Expand your Inner Inheritances to develop your talents into allies of abilities!
Your Inner Inheritances From The Sun…
Rather than the length of your life, expand!
Expand like the sun shines all around to live your width.
Live your width so big and so there like the sun’s light.
Live your width so big and so there like the sun’s light so you extend past your horizons.
Allow your sun to rest and play hide-n-seek and transform into the life of your dreams.
Live your width so that even when your brightness dims, you can simply rest knowing it is soon to return…
each morning.
Live Your Width! Live Your Expanse!
Live the width of your life across the magical twilight X-Bridges of each of your dawns and dusks!
Expand to give light to the life of your Moon when you rest!

Remember, even in a card with no people, there is always one… You! You looking in through the portal of the card.
Jordy, I am so bloody happy you’re back in the hop because you always have so many interesting things to say:) Thank you for teaching me to live my width…
‘Remember, even in a card with no people, there is always one… You looking in through the portal.’ Love this take on the Tarot cards. Enjoyed the post.
Maybe I should have read this post before living my width with a huge bar of fruit and nut and a glass of Merlot. But it’s Saturday night, the kids are in bed, so why worry?? 🙂
What a wonderful, quirky, spiritual style you have, Jordan! Very enjoyable. Felt as though I was being rocked back and forth through the lines. Actually aside from widening/expanding, this is my fav of yours: Remember, even in a card with no people, there is always one… You looking in through the portal.
I’ll remember that the next time the eight of wands comes up in particular….:)
Love the way you compare twilight to nature’s psychic synapse. Twilight is my favourite time, there’s always a hush in the air, it’s peaceful and empty, and at the same time vibrating and full of potential. Be all that we are, in shadow as well as light, embrace our width 😀 Thank you! 🙂
You’re very welcome. Great to find another twilight lover resonating with nature’s psychic synapse that isn’t necessarily the movie. You’re very welcome. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
